Røe Isaksen receives praise from unexpected sources for character rumblings – Aftenposten

– I would give the Minister grade 6 for the proposal to change the Conservatives’ policy when it comes to grades in elementary school, says SV leader Audun Lysbakken Aftenposten.

– This marks an important change away from what has been the Conservatives’ traditional view of what makes for a better school. There is no longer think that just more characters and more exams works, he said.

Tuesday Aftenposten writes that Minister Torbjørn Røe Isaksen (H) in connection with the new party program has decided that the proposal introducing characters from 5th grade should be discarded.

Urges Isaksen rethinking exams

Now the Right top ie praise from unexpected source for the turnaround.

– Wisely by @konservativ, writes SV leader Audun Lysbakken Twitter.

“Conservative” is Minister Thorbjorn Røe Isaksens profile name in the social media.

Lysbakken believes Conservatives turnaround in character debate could lead to it being better opportunity to discuss issues which are really important for Norwegian school in next year’s election campaign.

– But acknowledging Minister now comes with the grade debate is unfortunately not present in other cases. It is the same Torbjørn Røe Isaksen as across peer recommendations will have more compulsory exams in tenth step.

– One of the big tests this fall is about huge Inger votes him down or not, think lysbakken.

– must have teachers on teams

Also, teach top Steffen Handal brag Isaksen.

– Good, @konservativ! Hope @Hoyre make good decisions on their national convention, writes the leader of the Union of Education at Twitter.

He added:

– If @hoyre to succeed they must have teachers (and enough of us) layer.

This is the some of the specific proposals as the program enters for:

  • Create national emergency group to help municipalities that have poor performance over time.
  • Drop stick horse on characters is already in the 5th grade.
  • the State shall take over more control of school development in municipalities that are struggling with poor performance.
  • Enhanced early intervention, with the creation of rights requirements for additional follow-up for students struggling in core subjects.
  • Introduce programming and coding permanent electives.
  • Introduce a more practical crafts . Get back gutted bench in school.
  • Introduce experiments where School Students can select fewer subjects in the last two years , but with more specialization in the subjects chosen.
  • Abolish compulsory written secondary language teaching , but secure texts and competence in both language variants in class.

Remember the first day of school? Was it good or bad?

Ap: Welcome for

Trond Giske, Aps education policy spokesman, is not exceedingly impressed with the proposed new skolepolitkk for Right 2017-2021.

– For three years we proposed sharply focus on early intervention in school without getting Conservative support. If Right wake, after three with the Minister, it’s good, he says to Aftenposten.

He agrees parts of the package Isaksen presents.

– Something is good. The proposal forced early efforts we support, of course. Today put about half of all the resources for special education first in school. It’s too late.

– The school needs more resources, not more requirements

– The biggest problem with the Conservative approach is that the party believes the main problem ether is missing wagering requirements of teachers and that new requirements for teachers is the solution. While the main challenge is that many teachers feel they have enough time to follow up each pupil so Aftenposten Monday illustrates, Giske said.

Aftenposten reported Monday that one of three principals planning the first classes with over 25 students.

– Then it will not take many minutes for each student, nor to those who require additional follow-up

– It is a powerful strengthened municipal finances, access to several special educators and other support to students who need it most that is the answer. No more requirements. Here’s the big difference between Labor and the Conservatives.

We reject not the absence limit, but we are moving towards knowledge minister model | Trond Giske

– We believe you can not test to better results, it must investrere to. It helps little with high math requirements for teachers, if those who are good at math not want to become teachers.
