Rejects requirements

Under the wage settlement in 2014, the parties agreed to introducing a temporary contribution scheme at a rate of 5 per cent for new kindergartens. PBL believes this rate should consist, and rejects as unreasonable requirement to increase it to 7 percent.

– The employee organizations require maximum schemes that almost no one else has. One can wish for even higher pension. But private kindergartens can not prevail. It may need to be public sector do, said CEO Arild M. Olsen in PBL before mediation started.

According to the regulations for defined contribution pension schemes are 7 percent savings absolute maximum savings rate for workers with salaries up to 7.1 G, well 650.000 million.

Olsen believes the temporary deposit scheme is good. He points out that only 11,000 of the 1.2 million workers with defined contribution was a member of a scheme with maximum saving frames at the end of last year, according to figures from Finance Norway.

– The pension is now discontinued, replaced by new arrangements because they are too expensive and not sustainable for the future, and because they do not support workfare. Then they must not be replaced by arrangements which are at least as expensive and where individual employees can get paid more in pensions than salaries, says PBL boss.

– Lower wage growth

Until 2014 it is not allowed to save more than 5 percent of the employee’s salary up to 6 G. According unions put those requirements two years ago that the deposit had increased to 7 percent if the scheme would be continued.

– 2 percent lower pension contribution per year is in reality 2 percent lower wage. And the difference between a pension contribution of 5 percent and 7 percent, more than 2 percent lower occupational maintains Fagforbundet on their websites.

– For a starting job as a 25-year old, the pension is 40 percent higher at 7 percent deposit than 5 percent. With only 5 percent deposit does it 20000-30000 million lower pension every year for life, depending on income level, continuing trade union.

The employee organizations further argues that it grant from the state placed 13 percent of municipal salaries to pensions for employees of private kindergartens.

– Contribution kindergartens receive may be far higher than the kindergartens real costs of this. Money that the government will grant a pension, should be used to plan and not go to other purposes, says trade union. (© NTB)
