Woman found dead in Jotunheimen – Adresseavisen

The case is updated.

The police are investigating the case to determine if she is victim of a crime or not.

The police was notified of the case at 8:30 o’clock Tuesday morning, according to Inland police.

– She was found inside the hotel and was pronounced dead at the scene, said police attorney Hilde Skinstad said.

There were police circumstances surrounding the discovery made the initiated investigation, and the death described as suspicious – which is common practice when no cause of death is clear.

Relatives not notified

According to police, the relatives not notified of the death, and therefore they will not give further details.

the dead are sent for autopsy. The lawyer would not disclose the woman was a guest, employee or had any other connection to the hotel.

Crime Technicians was Tuesday afternoon at the site, and more guests will be questioned. None has been arrested in the case.

– It happened in a hotel, and there have been other people nearby, says Hilde Skinstad.



Not Room

According to VG, the woman was not found in his room, but elsewhere in the hotel.

– There are no signs of external damage. There are five people who have tried resuscitation, but it was no use, says Per Otternes, hotel owner and general manager, told the newspaper.

Bygdin Mountain Hotel is located at 1065 meters above sea level at the lake of the same name, around 12 km north of Beitostolen on Valdresflya. Its history stretches back to 1897.
