Finnish kayaker died in Lofoten – Dagbladet.no

A Finnish man died in a paddle accident in Lofoten Thursday afternoon. The man paddled at Unstad Vestvagoy when he fell out of the kayak.

The man was taken ashore and treated by emergency services at the site, but his life could not be saved.

According to police, there was a Finnish man who died.

– He’s been out and paddled together with a group. This group is now offered all the crisis monitoring we have to offer. The plan was the journey home Friday and it will most likely do, said police efforts leader on site, Ruben Evjen, to Lofotposten.

Witnesses should have seen the man fall out of kayak. After being brought ashore, it was attempted lifesaving, but after an hour, the man was pronounced dead.
