Statoil’s inquiry after helikopterulykken on Turøy 29. april is finalized with conclusions and recommendations on how the company could further strengthen the work of helikoptersikkerhet. the Source: Statoil ASA

Helikopterulykken on Turøy is the most serious helikopterulykken on the Norwegian continental shelf since 1997. 13 people died in the accident. The helicopter was on the way from the Gullfaks B to Bergen when the accident occurred.

It is the Accident investigation board Norway (Aibn) that is responsible for mapping the course of events and causes of the accident itself. In may adopted Statoil a separate investigation after the accident. – Turøy-the accident was a tragedy for all who was affected, and for seven of the companies that lost close colleagues. It is crucial that everyone working offshore can have confidence in helicopter transport.
