Requires ten years of detention – NRK

the Girl was sentenced to nine years in custody in the Asker and Bærum district court in the last year. If she is sentenced to detention in the appeal that goes for the Borgarting court of appeal, she becomes the first minors that will have a legally enforceable forvaringsdom in Norway. The now 17-year-old girl was 15 years old when she committed the murder in an institutional care in Vollen in Asker.

the Verdict was appealed, and the appeal has gone for the Borgarting court of appeal. Last week concluded the appellate court that the now 17-year-old girl was sane when she took the life of miljøterapeuten who was a night watchman.

Tuesday should a grand jury decide what punishment the girl from Bærum shall be imposed for the Ground-killing.

Large re-offending

the Prosecution believes that a time-limited punishment may not be sufficient to protect the community. Tuesday let the prosecutor claim for ten years of detention, with a minimum time of six years, writes Budstikka.

– It is extraordinary that a girl of 15 years and a month commits a deliberate murder of a person out of a need to commit violence rather than an underlying conflict. The need is related to the girl’s psychological pathology. It will not disappear with the first. Maybe never, said Brought in the procedure.

the Assertion is the same as the prosecutor, district attorney Erik Brought, laid down when the case was heard in the Asker and Bærum district court in the last year. Then ended the district court to judge the girl to nine years in custody with a minimum time of six years.

Violates human rights

the Girl’s defense believes it may be in violation of human rights to condemn a child to detention, which can be regarded as a sentence of life imprisonment if not the conditions for release are met.

She asked during the procedures in the court of appeal the jury of knowing the girl insane so she could be transferred to the health care to be treated for psychosis.

Strangled and stabbed
