Norway is in a common front for border – Romsdals Budstikke

In all, five Schengen countries have introduced immigration controls in the wake of the flyktningkrisen. The five held on Thursday a meeting on the sidelines of the Eu justice and innenriksministermøte in Luxembourg to discuss the way forward when the current arrangement expires in november.

” We have had a very good and constructive meeting with the other countries that have border control. We agree that we should work for a common initiative towards the EUROPEAN commission, which can provide that we can extend the border control, says Anundsen to the NTB.

It is not certainly all five are with, he stresses.

– We are not finished with this yet, and it is also not clarified how many to the end, ” says Anundsen.

Norway has not taken a position on border control is to be extended, but would like to have the opportunity to it if needed. (©NTB)
