Three charged in fire at Willow hotel – Sunnmørsposten

Police have this afternoon arrested three people suspected of arson or complicity to this at the hotel in Selje in Sogn and Fjordane on the night of Friday 25.11.2016.

the People now has the status as indicted in the matter. They will be presented for incarceration in the Fjordane court on Friday 2. December.

the Police have had assistance from Kripos in the investigation of hotellbrannen in Willow. The investigation so far shows that the fire is applied. With respect to the investigation, it may at the present time cannot be said any more about the basis for police suspicion.

According to the Bergens Tidende is the three charged very central in the operation of the hotel.

The previous owners of the Willow Hotel, the couple Harald and Gerd Kjellaug Berge, who see it as their life’s work, got the message from the police in the evening.

- This just gets sadder and sadder. The shock of the fire has not been laid off, until we get a new shock. Who wants to kindle in a hotel?, wondering Harald Berge.

He put now his trust that the police will solve the case.

- We don’t know any more than the police have gone out with until now, ” says Berge.

Magnus Engh Juel, påtaleadvokat in the West police district, confirms to Fjordenes Journal that the three people who are arrested are over 18 years of age.

He will not, however, comment on whether the three characters have knowledge of each other, where the individuals are resident, or if there are more police involved in the case.
